- hey! it's time for the sixty-third weeknote!
- wrote two blog posts this week for july reply 2026; intended to write a lot more for it but i haven't really kept up with the blogosphere this month.
- i had more thoughts around another blog post of brennan's, but didn't want to write two replies on one day. unattributed wrote a good takedown of the logic, but vibes wise, i dislike the idea that only things that have contributed to canon in some way are worthy of being created in the first place. i keep saying "research as a leisure activity" and i wish more people really lived and died by it lol. if any of these ramblings end up contributing to canon i'd be happy! but i'm pretty happy already.
- last point on PKM is that i have been enjoying my set up of using readwise as a generalised book/pdf/video home, and highlighting and making note as they come to me on capacities. i am trying to link more between notes so we'll see if that leads to any other changes how i think and/or output, but as per the last point, i'm happy to be here.
- i really want to start watching a weekly movie. i have barely watched anything prestige series/cinema/streaming wise for most of my adult life as i got bored/scared of my binge watching abilities in university (i could tell it would ruin my life if i kept going down the path i was on). this week i was sort of hoping to pick something short, and i might still watch adaptation, but we'll see, i am not feeling in the mood today.
- i finally got to a 100 days in a row of journalling on 750 words. that's a hundred days in a row ever as well, not just on that platform, i think the most i've ever got to was fifty or sixty something, and i still feel pretty pumped to continue! been trying to journal since i don't really get on with meditation, and i think i need some kind of mindful practice.
- eating pesto pasta, koftas, sweet potato falafel, and so much bread. drinking hot matcha, iced vanilla lattes, and lime cordial with ice water.
