- hello! it's been a while!
- i got a new backpack and i love it! i liked that my old one had a "security pocket" - a pocket you could only get into by taking it off, as its against your back with it on - but in practice i only used it for my work pass so i don't think i was missing much. it was powder pink which i thought i would enjoy more than i did, and the brand i got it from has gone in a much more masculine direction i don't enjoy, so off to new climes! i was hoping to find something cute at like a 30L kinda size but maybe a bit much for daily use! we'll see how i get on with 3 extra litres (this bag is 23L!).
- i am still trying to learn to cycle, my probable dyspraxia has hands, but also i guess children take years to learn to cycle and i had barely been on a bike at all in my entire life before i started learning! gotta stay positive lol. i am getting better.
- debating making a whole site for a project i want to start, or whether i should see if bearblog's (this current site you're on!) capability's for styling mean i can just do a page on this site? i think for podcast-y interview-y things it probably makes more sense to link off, but feel free to weigh in.
- i'm really enjoying tarot at the moment, unsure why not in particular. i have never got on with astrology as much as i would like (it's much easier to be a queer femme when you love the stars lol) but tarot gets me! i want to get better at remembering the interpretations but it feels like a lot to take in. july's card is the three of wands, good omens man!
- it's july and i still haven't finished the video essay i was talking about last time! i am being more lenient with myself after talking to some of the people over at the essay library; i am making galaxy brain, red string and post-its and see where a point takes me essays, and it's very much not a full time endeavour, so why am i comparing myself to people who are putting their entire working life into videos? surprisingly only to me its much easier to work on creative things when you have a positive and accepting mindset lol.
- i finally finished a sewing project i've been working on since october!!! i'm so proud of myself even though i know it needs more pressing/better topstitching/unpicking and redoing in some areas. i needed it to be done as it's an intermediate pattern and this is my fourth garment ever, bit off a lot more than i can comfortably chew but i did it! it was a tulip top!
- i passed 123,456 scrobbles on my last.fm did i tell you that last time?? so happy they are free again as well!
- eating tinned sardines, tuna mayo sandwiches, (for those worried about how i'm doing that with a fish allergy, i read somewhere that tinning denatures some enzyme and i don't appear to be dead, but i also think my allergy has been diminishing with the years!) fried eggs, so many varieties of ice cream, and strawberry laces. i've been drinking iced matcha lattes and iced elderflower cordial.
